Discovering Natural Architects

“How often does it happen to see animal architecture without knowing who made it? I happened on it thousands of times”.
Discovering Natural Architects is a project dedicated to uncover insect architectures and to identify species thanks to their nest and lairs and viceversa. A special focus is given to social insects and their structures builded in natural or artificial places. Furthermore important is to see which materials have been used to build the architecture, and if they change according to the environment and its level of anthropization.
iNaturalist.org is a platform where anyone can connect with nature exploring and sharing their observations. Here you can receive identification of all the organisms you observe thanks to the contribute of experts, nature lovers and people who want to discover new worlds.
As a final result, this project gives a further reading key for classifying species recognizing the house built by the insects.
